John Studzinski CBE, Senior MD & Global Head - Blackstone Advisory Partners
Mr. Studzinski's primary role is to oversee Blackstone's global advisory business. He is a member of the firm's Executive Committee.
Before joining Blackstone in 2006, Mr. Studzinski was a member of the Group Management Board and co-head of investment banking at HSBC based in London from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that he was at Morgan Stanley from 1980 to 2003, where he served as head of the European Investment Banking Division and Deputy Chairman of Morgan Stanley International.
His recent transaction experience includes advising the Board of AIG on its global restructuring, the Ministers of the Government of the Ukraine, the Board of Reuters on the merger with Thomson, China Development Bank on its investment in Barclays PLC, the Board of Northern Rock on its restructuring, the Board of Suez on the proposed merger with Gaz de France, the Board of Unilever on the Dual Head Structure, the BAT senior management on certain material strategic options and the Board of Petrochina on a possible acquisition of Unocal.
Mr. Studzinski graduated from Bowdoin College in 1978 with a double BA Degree Magna Cum Laude in Biology & Sociology. He received an MBA from the University of Chicago in 1980 in Finance and Marketing. He is Vice-Chair and Director of Human Rights Watch where he serves on the Executive Committee as well as Chairman of the Investment Committee. He also serves as a Trustee of Bowdoin College, the Tate Foundation, The Passage Day Centre for the Homeless and The Royal Parks Foundation. He is a member of the Council of The Royal College of Art and is Chair of the Emmaus Revives Lives campaign. In mid 2007, Mr. Studzinski stepped down as a trustee of the Tate and became Chairman of Benjamin Franklin House. In 2001, he established the Genesis Foundation which supports and nurtures emerging composers, directors, writers and actors into sustained careers in the arts.
Mr. Studzinski was made a Knight of the Order of St. Gregory for his humanitarian work for the homeless. He was also made a Knight Commander of Saint Sylvester. He received the Prince of Wales Ambassador's Award in recognition of his contribution to the homeless. He received the Beacon Prize in 2004 for services to philanthropy and in October 2007 was voted Banker of the Year by the Variety Club UK. In 2008, he was named in the Queen's New Year Honours List as a Commander of the British Empire ("CBE") for his services to the Arts and to Charity.
Colin Campbell was appointed Chairman of Pradera Europe with effect from 1 January 2010, having been Chief Executive since 23 October 2006 and a Director since he joined Pradera on 4 January 2000. In addition, Colin is the Chairman of the Pradera Investment Committee, a Luxembourg Manager of all Pradera Funds and a Pradera Member on all Unitholder Advisory Committees.
From 1996-1999, Colin was the Director of Parkes and Company responsible for the European property investment activities of DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners, a U.S.$660 million equity property opportunity fund raised and managed by Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (now part of Credit Suisse) in New York. Previously, Colin worked for a subsidiary of the Lend Lease group of Australia, during which time he was responsible for its investments in the out-of-town retail sector in France and for the origination of its Bluewater Shopping Centre project, then Europe?s largest regional shopping centre. In addition to his 25 plus years? experience in property investment management, Colin Campbell worked for three years in the corporate finance department of Kleinwort Benson Limited at the end of the 1980s.
Colin has a BSc in Estate Management from Reading University and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Saydam Salaheddin, MD of Real Estate Advisory (CEE) - Credit Suisse
Saydam Salaheddin is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the Investment Banking division, based in Moscow. He is responsible for Consumer, Real Estate and Healthcare sectors in CEE/CIS and Turkey.
Mr. Salaheddin joined Credit Suisse Group in September 1998 from Morgan Stanley where he was an Analyst in Investment Banking. Prior to that, he worked as a commercial lawyer for two years at a leading London practice.
Mr. Salaheddin has wide-ranging experience of all forms of advisory and financing transactions across Europe with a focus on Emerging Markets. His areas of particular expertise include the Consumer Products, Retail and Business Services sectors, with an particular focus on Real Estate since 2004.
Mr. Salaheddin holds a double English and French Law degree from the Universities of King's College, London and La Sorbonne-Pantheon, Paris.
Grant Fitzner, Head of EMEA Research - Jones Lang LaSalle
Grant Fitzner joined Jones Lang LaSalle in January 2011 as Head of EMEA Research. He joined from the Department for Communities and Local Government in the UK, where he was Chief Analyst and Chief Economist.
Grant Fitzner has over 20 years previous experience in economics, financial markets and strategic analysis in both the public and private sectors, including senior positions at HSBC, the UK government's Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Australian government. Grant is also a part of the Global Research Executive, which provides strategic direction and policy for JLL's researchers worldwide, to represent EMEA.
John Mennel, Senior Associate, Booz Allen Hamilton
John Mennel leads an economic development consulting business delivering services to a broad range of clients including the development banks, donors and emerging markets governments. His practice areas include country competitiveness, export and investment promotion strategies, and financial sector resilience. He has worked in sectors including agriculture and agribusiness, textiles and apparel, power transmission and distribution, infrastructure, travel and tourism, and many others. Overall, his work is motivated by a belief that quantitative approaches to develop are under-used and can yield significant results. Prior to joining Booz Allen, John held senior marketing and business development positions with a number of public and private technology companies. He also worked as a consultant on early stage technologies for venture firms. Until 1996, John worked in the Moscow office, and subsequently managed the Almaty office, for Deloitte Consulting. In these positions, he advised the Kazakh and Russian governments, as well as private sector clients, on privatization and restructuring transactions. Over his career, he has worked in more than 20 countries, primarily in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and North Africa, but including other geographies. John holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. He speaks fluent Russian, fluent (but currently rusty) Spanish, and basic French.

Sir Geoffrey Owen, Senior Fellow - LSE
Sir Geoffrey Owen is Senior Fellow at the Department of Management, London School of Economics, where he conducts teaching and research in the field of corporate strategy, corporate governance and international competition.
Sir Geoffrey was educated at Rugby School and Balliol College, Oxford, where he studied classics. After two years' national service in the Royal Air Force, he joined the Financial Times as a feature writer in 1958. He held several posts on that paper, including those of Industrial Correspondent, Industrial Editor, and US Correspondent based in New York. Between 1968 and 1973 Sir Geoffrey left journalism, serving first as an executive in the Industrial Reorganisation Corporation and then as personnel director in the overseas division of British Leyland Motor Corporation. He was deputy editor of the Financial Times from 1973 to 1980 and editor from 1981 to 1990. He was knighted in 1989.
Sir Geoffrey joined the London School of Economics in 1991, working first in the Centre for Economic Performance before switching to the Institute of Management.
He is the author of two books - "Industry in the USA," and "From Empire to Europe: the decline and revival of British industry since the second world war." He is the co-author, with Tom Kirchmaier and Jeremy Grant, of "Corporate governance in the US and Europe: where are we now?," and with Tom Kirchmaier of "The changing role of the Chairman." Other published papers include: "Where are the big gorillas? High technology entrepreneurship in the UK and the role of public policy." He has contributed to several management journals including the Harvard Business Review.
Sir Geoffrey was a non-executive director of Laird Group plc from 2001 to the end of 2006. He is currently chairman of the Wincott Foundation and a governor of the Olayan School of Business at the American University of Beirut.

Neil Forbes Davidson, Baron Davidson of Glen Clova, is a Scottish lawyer and former .Advocate General for Scotland
Neil Davidson was born on 13 September 1950 to John and Flora Davidson. He was educated at the University of Stirling (BA), the University of Bradford (MSc) and the University of Edinburgh (LLB, LLM), and was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1979. His private practice is in commercial and administrative law.
He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1979, and appointed Standing Junior Counsel to the Registrar General in 1982, and theDepartment of Health and Social Security in 1988. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales at the Inner Temple in 1990, and appointed Queen's Counsel in Scotland in 1993. From 1993 to 2000, he was a Director of City Disputes Panel, a private dispute resolution service, and on 24 February 2000 was appointed Solicitor General for Scotland, which office he held until November 2001. He is a member of 11 King's Bench Walk Chambers, founded by former Lord Chancellor Lord Irvine of Lairg.
On 21 March 2006, it was announced that the Prime Minister, Tony Blair, had appointed him to the office of Advocate General for Scotland, which had been vacant since the resignation of Lynda Clark, Baroness Clark of Calton on 18 January that year to take up office as aSenator of the College of Justice. He was created a life peer, as Baron Davidson of Glen Clova, of Glen Clova in Angus, on 22 March, and sits on the Labour benches.
Davidson is the co-author of Judicial Review in Scotland (1986). He was the International Commission of Jurists' chef de mission to Egypt on sequestration of the Egyptian Bar in 1998. He was the convener of the Human Rights Committee of the Faculty of Advocates.
James Roberts is a partner in the Corporate department at Taylor Wessing
James joined Taylor Wessing with a team from another major City law firm where he was Head of the Corporate Finance department. Prior to returning to private practice in 1998 James was in-house Counsel at BAT plc and latterly commercial director with responsibility for the Indian sub-continent.
James has rare experience having worked as a partner in private practice, is an accomplished business manager (having run businesses) and has also worked as in-house counsel. He has also worked in Latin America, throughout Europe, the Middle East and Russia.
James's clients range from large financial institutions, but he also has extensive experience in acting for super-high net worth families in advising on running their corporate businesses. In the "Legal 500" his clients stated that he was "creative and solution focused".
Simon C.Y. Wong is a partner at London-based investment firm Governance for Owners, Adjunct Professor of Law at Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, and Visiting Fellow at London School of Economics and Political Science. In addition, he advises the OECD, Tomorrow's Company, and a strategy consulting firm on policy and corporate-related matters.
Previously, Simon was Head of Corporate Governance in the London office of Barclays Global Investors and a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Simon started his professional career as a securities lawyer with Linklaters & Paines and Shearman & Sterling in London, and also served as Principal Administrator/Counsel at the OECD in Paris.

Mr. William So is the former President
of China Unicom (Europe) Operations Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of
China Unicom, one of the largest full service telecom operators in
China. Mr. So was born in Hong Kong, and subsequently educated both in
Hong Kong and the UK. Having obtained an honors degree in Computing
Science from Imperial College London in 1981, he joined IBM and embarked
on his professional career. He held various management positions with
IBM China and IBM Hong Kong until 1993 before moving on to become the
Managing Director, and equity partner, of a subsidiary of Legend
Computers (now Lenovo) based in Austria. There, he was in charge of both
the Eastern and Central European markets until 1996.
From 1996, Mr. So continued his career
in Beijing, helping Western companies develop joint ventures in China.
Combining his exceptional management expertise and international
experience, Mr. So established a Sino-US joint venture, a European
Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise (WOFE), and a Foreign-Foreign Joint
Venture in China within a 4-year period. In addition, he managed these
joint ventures as the General Manager, engaging in satellite
communications and telecom equipment manufacturing in China. Moreover,
as an entrepreneur, Mr. So co-founded a company which introduced the use
of internet technology to transmit fax and voice in China in the late
'90s. Mr. So commenced his career with China Netcom Group, a Chinese
State-Owned Enterprise, in 2000 as the Head of International Operations.
He developed the group's international business from scratch and
established several overseas branches for the group. The company later
merged with part of China Telecom, and later with China Unicom, thereby
becoming one of the largest full telecom service providers in China. Mr.
So held strategic senior management positions at the company
headquarters in Beijing until 2007, when he was transferred to Hong Kong
as the CEO for Asian and Middle East operations.
In 2008, Mr. So came to London as
President of the European and African operations until July 2010. He has
now established his own companies engaging in telecom, natural
resources and infrastructure business in China and the emerging markets.
Mr. So is a renowned expert both in the telecom industry and in Chinese
government policies, as well as a frequent speaker at industry
conferences and trade organizations.
Robin Bienenstock, Senior European Telecoms Analyst - Sanford C. Bernstein
Robin Bienenstock joined Sanford C Bernstein in 2007 as a Senior
Research Analyst covering the European Telecommunications industry,
based in London. Prior to this, she ran her own consulting business
focusing on retail and telecommunications clients for 3 years, and she
was an Associate Principal at McKinsey where she served
telecommunications and retail clients for 5 years. She has also worked
at an investment bank and run a revolving loan fund in Bosnia
Hercegovina. She speaks Italian and French. Robin has a BA from Oxford
University in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, and MAs in
International Relations and International Economics from the
Universities of Toronto and Bocconi respectively.

In recent years, Mr. de Lanoy Meijer has
led a number of high profile M&A advisory and financing
transactions for Governments and telecoms operators in CEE, including
the $400m privatisation offering of TPSA in 2003, the US$1.0bn disposals
by KPN and Telsource of their respective interests in Cesky Telecom in
2003 and 2004, the US$3.6bn privatisation of Cesky Telecom on behalf of
the Czech Government in 2005, the US$1.6bn IPO of Sistema in 2005, the
largest ever Russian IPO, and the US$4.3bn disposal of Golden Telecom to
Vimpelcom in 2007. In other emerging markets outside the CEE region, he
has worked on strategic and financing transactions for operators
including Orascom/Weather's combined £825m exchangeable bond and
US$2.0bn syndicated loan in connection with the acquisition of a stake
in HTIL, MTC's US$2.4bn acquisition financing in connection with the
acquisition of Celtel, as well as its subsequent US$4.0bn syndicated
loan, and the £1.9bn buy-in of Enel's minority stake in Weather
Investments, Orascom's landmark US$750m High Yield bond offering, the
US$900m IPO of Telecom Egypt and Q-Tel's US$1.7bn acquisition of a
strategic stake in Indosat.

Tim Harrabin, Regional Director (Africa, Middle East & Asia Pacific) - Vodafone
Tim has over 25 years multidisciplinary
experience in Mobile Communication across Europe and Emerging Markets.
He gained extensive international business development experience as
Regional Commercial and Strategy Director and Regional Business
Development Director at Vodafone. Previously he was Marketing Director
at Talkland and Strategy and Commercial Director for Vodafone UK. His
early career was in management consultancy with PA Consulting and
Analysys.
He has served as Director in the UK,
Greece, Malta, Ghana, Portugal, Czech Republic, Hungary, Spain, India,
Poland, Turkey and Romania; and as a non Executive Director at three
listed companies in Egypt, Kenya and Sweden.
In November 2008 Tim moved into his
current role as Regional Director in the Central Europe and Africa team
with responsibility for Vodafone's investments in Poland, Kenya and
Ghana; and for the worldwide development of the industry leading M-Pesa
mobile payments service.
He has led complex, pioneering
transformations at the forefront of the telecoms industry; led the
creation, development and launch of many successful market leading
innovations; and built an extensive track record in prospecting,
acquiring and integrating multi $bn companies.
Aged 49, Tim is married with two children. He enjoys cycling, listed home renovation and world affairs.
Philip Bates, Senior Manager at Analysys Mason, joined the company in 2008 and is an accomplished consultant with a wide-ranging knowledge of the international telecoms industry. Most recently, Philip's focuss has been on projects for the global satellite sector.
His satellite consulting experience includes a project to forecast the market for satellite services in developing countries over the next ten years, due diligence of a company providing IP satellite capacity to mobile operators; ISPs and public- and private-sector end users in sub-Saharan Africa; and strategic advice to an MSS operator on a complementary ground component.
Philip has worked in the telecoms and data networking industry for 25 years and has previously held management posts with MSS operator ICO Global Communications, BT, and a number of technology start-ups, giving him wide-ranging experience including programme and project management (particularly for new product and service launches), business strategy (with particular emphasis on sustaining and expanding start-up businesses and new divisions), and systems engineering for voice and data networks. Philip holds an MA in Engineering from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge and an MBA from Warwick Business School. His is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the IET.

Daniel Broby, Chief Investment Officer - Silk Invest
Daniel Broby is Chief Investment Officer at Silk Invest, a boutique focused on early stage emerging markets. He joined Silk Invest after selling the Danfonds Frontier Fund SPC to the company.
Prior to Silk Invest (and Danfonds), Daniel worked for Renaissance Investment Management as Global Head of Asset Management and Chief Investment Officer. The company is Russia's largest non-Captive Asset Manager and Daniel was responsible for 44 investment professionals. He also held the role of Chief Executive Officer of Renaissance Investment Management (UK) Ltd, its FSA regulated subsidiary.
Prior to Renaissance, Daniel worked at Bankinvest, Denmark's third largest asset manager. He joined the company in 2000 as Chief Investment Officer, responsible for the investment process and the day-to-day running of the quoted equity, bond and guaranteed products. He transferred these responsibilities in July 2004 and launched Denmark's first and only regulated hedge fund on behalf of Bankinvest in November 2005.
Daniel has an MPhil in economics and an MSc in investment analysis. He was a board member of UKSIP and IIMR for over 10 years. He represented the IIMR on the board of the European Society of Financial Analyst Societies for five years. Following that he became the CFA Institute's President Council Representative for Europe, Middle East and Africa for four years, and was subsequently presented with the Institute's Society Leader Award in 2006. He now serves as a member of the Capital Markets Policy Council.
He makes frequent appearances on Bloomberg TV and CNBC.
Dr Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Economic and Finance Minister to U.K. and Europe, Royal Thai Embassy
Dr. Ekniti was appointed as Minister (Economic and Financial) of the Office of Economic and Financial Affairs for the United Kingdom and Europe at the Royal Thai Embassy in London in September 2010. Previously, he was Spokesperson of the Finance Ministry of Thailand and Executive Director of Macroeconomic Policy Bureau of the Fiscal Policy Office from 2008-2010.
After graduated with B.A.(Hons) in Economics from Thammasat University in Thailand, Ekniti began his career in private sector as a securities analyst at Phatra Tanakit Finance Company. He then joined public sector as an economist at the Ministry of Finance after receiving the Thai Government Scholarship to pursue Master and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from University of Illinois and Claremont Graduate University in the U.S.A. Dr. Ekniti has extensive experiences at the Thai Finance Ministry, having served as Director of Development Financial Policy Division and Director of Macroeconomic Forecasting Division. He also has international experiences working as Senior Advisor to Executive Director for Southeast Asia at the World Bank, Washington D.C.
Dr.Ekniti has a number of publications in academic journals, newspapers, and books, such as 'the Asian Crises Reexamined' (2004) published in the MIT Press Journals of Asian Economic Papers and, most recently, the book on 'the Domino Effects: Solutions for Thailand amid the Global Financial Crises' (2009). In 2009, Dr.Ekniti Nitithanprapas received "Rising-Star Economist of the Year" award from the Thammasat Economic Association of Thailand.
Neil McIndoe is Director of Partnerships at Trucost, the world leading environmental data company.
During the past 9 years Neil has overseen the development of Trucost's environmental accounting services for investors, businesses and the public sector and has managed supply chain projects for Next Plc, Highland Spring, BSykB, The Environment Agency, Lewisham Council and Mid-Essex NHS Trust.
Neil has also advised Trucost's clients on environmental reporting requirements and written a number of reports including one for the UK Environment Agency which analyzed the first 100 FTSE All-Share companies to report under the EU Accounts Modernisation Directive.
Previously Neil was with Hewlett-Packard where he held a number of management roles, most recently responsible for sales and marketing of IT services to the financial and professional services sectors.
Neil is a member of the Society of Business Economists, and holds an honours degree in Economics and Economic History along with a post graduate degree in Accountancy Studies.

Michael O'Sullivan, Head of Research and Portfolio Analysis ? Credit Suisse
Michael O'Sullivan is a Managing Director and Head of UK Research and Portfolio Analysis at Credit Suisse.
He previously worked as a strategist for Goldman Sachs International, UBS Warburg and State Street Global Markets. He was educated at University College Cork, Ireland and Balliol College Oxford where he obtained M.Phil and D.Phil degrees as a Rhodes Scholar. His academic research work focused on corporate finance, and specifically on the links between corporate performance and governance. He has taught finance and economics at Oxford and Princeton Universities.
